Speaking to the press, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said that the program aims to promote and introduce Hanoi's tourist destinations, while also providing a new experiential activity to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital city, thereby stimulating tourism demand.
Combining cycling and wearing the traditional Ao Dai dress to explore Hanoi's iconic cultural heritage sites carries profound significance, contributing to a unique and effective connection between tourism and heritage. This celebrates both traditional and modern beauty; connects tourists with heritage; and encourages sustainable tourism by protecting the environment and preserving heritage.
"Through this activity, the capital's tourism industry creates beautiful images of Hanoi, while also promoting community spirit and raising awareness of heritage protection," Mr. Hieu emphasized.
This is also a new experiential activity that attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists to Hanoi; it explores and honors the traditional Ao Dai of the Vietnamese people, linking it with heritage and tourism to preserve and develop the traditional cultural values of the nation; and creates opportunities to promote and introduce Hanoi's tourist destinations. It also serves as the opening event for a series of events within the framework of the "Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2024" program, connecting the Ao Dai with Hanoi's heritage and tourist destinations.
