Regulating heavy trucks entering the right lane of the highway

On September 19, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) said that it had organized propaganda and provided instructions on traffic regulation on highways to reduce traffic accidents.

Specifically, since September 18, the authorities have used official vehicles to stop at toll stations and drive along two-lane highways, broadcasting propaganda through loudspeakers and instructing drivers to move in the correct lane.

Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 will use official vehicles to broadcast propaganda on highways including: Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao and Nha Trang - Cam Lam.

Accordingly, passenger cars with 29 seats or more and cars with a load capacity of 7.5 tons or more go in the right lane (the lane with a lower speed) in the direction of travel. The left lane is located close to the median strip for cars, trucks under 7.5 tons and passenger cars under 29 seats.
