The Director of the Thanh Hoa Social Work Service Center (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) reported on the results of the "Sunshine House" model.
Established in 2021, through a series of communication and training activities, and by providing services at a single point of contact, the Sunshine House has made a significant contribution to raising awareness and changing community behavior in accessing and using the house's services. It has built a team of staff with the knowledge and skills to provide professional assistance services. Simultaneously, it has mobilized the participation of all levels and sectors, ensuring timely and coordinated solutions to meet the needs of victims of violence.

The Thanh Hoa Provincial Association of Elderly People proposed continuing to implement the integrated and long-term care model for the elderly, while also increasing funding for project activities to achieve greater effectiveness.
Regarding the results and impact of the pilot model of integrated care for the elderly in the community, financially supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) through HelpAge International (HAI), an international organization supporting the elderly in Vietnam, the project "Promoting social protection and comprehensive and integrated care for the elderly to adapt to population aging" (abbreviated as Project VIE091) was developed and piloted in Dong Phu commune (Dong Son district) and Quang Phu ward (Thanh Hoa city).
After four months of implementing the model, families of elderly people who were initially hesitant to accept the project's support have now become more open and proactive with the companionship of the volunteers. The elderly are cared for happily, their spirits are better, and their health is improving; reducing the pressure on families involved in caring for elderly people with long-term illnesses...
