On October 16, 2025, the working group of the Department of Health of Gia Lai province coordinated with the Center for Disease Control of Cao Bang province to donate medicine, disinfectants and spray chemicals to disinfect the environment after the storm and flood in Phuc Hoa commune, Quang Hoa Medical Center, Methadone Treatment Facility of Phuc Hoa Commune Health Station and Duc Long commune, officially closing the working group to support Cao Bang province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 11 in 2025.

Accordingly, implementing Plan No. 3099/SYT-TTCB dated October 9, 2025 of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health on sending a medical working group of Gia Lai province to provide medical support to provinces heavily affected by storm No. 11. From October 11 to 16, the Gia Lai Department of Health working group of 31 members led by Dr. CKII Tran Thuc Kha, Director of Phu Cat Medical Center, went to support medical work in Cao Bang .

100 family medicine bags for Quang Hoa Medical Center

On the morning of October 16, the delegation sprayed disinfectants in areas severely affected by floods in residential groups 3, 6, 7, 8 of Phuc Hoa commune, coordinated with Quang Hoa Medical Center to carry out environmental sanitation activities, disinfect water sources, and prevent post-storm epidemics; donated 100 bags of family medicine to Quang Hoa Medical Center; donated 100 bags of family medicine and 25kg of disinfectants to Duc Long Commune Health Station.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh for the victory of the Border Campaign in 1950, Duc Long commune. The activity has a deep meaning of gratitude, not only an opportunity for medical staff to report on the achievements they have made during the charity trip, but also a promise to continue to study and follow Uncle Ho's moral example, promoting the spirit of solidarity and responsibility for public health and the development of the country.

At the end of the support period for Cao Bang province, with the spirit of effort, urgency and not afraid of difficulties, the working group closely coordinated with the Department of Health and local authorities to complete environmental disinfection spraying and water source disinfection in the area of ​​3 wards: Thuc Phan, Nung Tri Cao, Tan Giang and the communes: Lung Nam, Thanh Long, Phuc Hoa, Hoa An, Quang Han, Tra Linh, Can Yen, Ha Quang, Truong Ha, Phuc Hoa, Duc Long.

At the same time, in coordination with health officials of departments and offices under the Provincial Center for Disease Control, we provide guidance and support in water treatment, and distribute 1,710 family medicine bags including essential medicines to help people proactively take care of their primary health. Along with that, we propagate and guide people to implement environmental sanitation measures, treat water sources, ensure food safety and early detection of disease signs, contributing significantly to controlling and preventing disease outbreaks after floods.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 15, the Cao Bang Provincial Department of Health held a meeting to thank the Gia Lai Department of Health delegation for completing the support to overcome the consequences of storm No. 11 in Cao Bang province. Attending the meeting were Mr. Nong Tuan Phong, Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Directors of the Department of Health, and representatives of leaders and civil servants of specialized departments under the Department of Health; representatives of leaders and officials related to the Center for Disease Control.
