Concentrating all efforts on spraying disinfectants to prevent and control epidemics after storms and floods

On October 14, 2025, Cao Bang Department of Health coordinated with the working group of Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health to launch a total campaign to disinfect the environment and treat water sources to prevent the risk of a second outbreak in the area of ​​3 wards: Thuc Phan, Nung Tri Cao, Tan Giang, Cao Bang province to help people quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives.

In order to minimize the risk of disease outbreaks after floods, the Department of Health of Cao Bang and Gia Lai provinces has mobilized over 80 staff, divided into 18 teams with equipment, materials and chemicals to carry out environmental disinfection spraying in flooded areas affected by storm No. 11 in the 3 wards of Thuc Phan, Nung Tri Cao and Tan Giang.

After the flood, the environment is seriously polluted by waste, animal carcasses floating for many days... posing a risk of disease outbreak and spread, especially acute diarrhea, respiratory diseases, eye diseases, skin diseases... The early and drastic implementation of work to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, environmental sanitation, ensuring clean water and disease prevention and control is extremely necessary, contributing to supporting people's health care and quickly stabilizing life after natural disasters.
