The monitoring delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province worked with Thuan Nam district.

According to the report of Thuan Nam District People's Committee, from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023, Thuan Nam District issued documents to receive citizens on the implementation of regulations on receiving citizens, handling petitions, complaints and denunciations of citizens. The district promptly implemented the handling and settlement of petitions and denunciations, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. The coordination in receiving and handling petitions and denunciations was well implemented. Thuan Nam District People's Committee organized 48 regular citizen reception days; received 27 petitions, complaints and denunciations from citizens. The district issued 9 decisions to resolve; 14 notices of non-acceptance of settlement; 2 petitions issued response documents; 1 official dispatch reporting the results of handling petitions and 1 conclusion on the content of denunciations. The complaints and denunciations mainly focused on issues related to land disputes; compensation, support, site clearance, etc.

The representative of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee suggested that in the coming time, Thuan Nam district should continue to promote the role and responsibility of the head in the work of receiving citizens and resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens; it is necessary to strengthen coordination between agencies and mass organizations in resolving complicated and prolonged complaints; continue to perform well the work of receiving citizens regularly, periodically receiving citizens and guiding citizens to exercise their right to complain and denounce according to the provisions of law; perform well the work of dialogue with the people; strengthen the work of inspection and examination of the responsibility of agency heads in the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens in the area.
