Before entering the final day, the team had a clear chance to compete for medals in both the men's individual and men's team events. In particular, Nguyen Tuan Anh played impressively on the final day when he completed a round of 66 strokes (-6), scoring 7 birdies and only 1 bogey.

Tuan Anh's efforts almost helped the Vietnamese Sports Delegation bring home the men's individual gold medal, when the 16-year-old golfer was only 1 stroke behind Han Jin (China) - who scored the decisive birdie on the last hole to step onto the highest podium.

Along with that, Doan Uy also had an excellent day with a result of 70 strokes (-2), contributing to the overall achievement of the men's team with a total score of (-14). Unfortunately, the team was only 1 stroke behind the top position of China.

In the women's event, Le Chuc An ended the final day with a 68, bringing her total score to (-9). However, with fierce competition, Chuc An could not make it into the medal group and finished 10th overall. Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh finished the 3 days of competition with a total score of (+3), helping the women's team finish the tournament in 5th place in the women's team event.

Through the tournament, the young athletes have clearly demonstrated their maturity when competing fairly with countries in the region. Although there is some regret for not being able to win a gold medal, the 2 silver medals in golf at the 2025 Asian Youth Games are a very proud achievement for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation. This is also the first time golf has brought home a medal at the Asian Youth Games.

After the miracle at SEA Games 32 with 3 medals, Vietnamese golf continues to affirm its position in the international arena at the Asian Youth Games 2025. The next goal that the Vietnamese Golf Team is aiming for is the 33rd SEA Games this coming December in Thailand.

The 2025 Asian Youth Games (ASIAD) is one of the major regional sports events for young Asian athletes. This is considered the “youth version” of the Asian Games (ASIAD), organized to create an environment to compete, discover and nurture the continent's outstanding sports talents.

As an important stepping stone towards the future ASIAD, the Asian Youth Games are not only meaningful in terms of competition results but also an opportunity for young athletes to gain experience, assert themselves and spread the Asian sports spirit.
