Quoc Hoc Hue students extend record of reaching final round of Road to Olympia

After more than a quarter of a century accompanying the television knowledge playground, Quoc Hoc Hue is currently the leading school in Vietnam in terms of the number of times its contestants have conquered the "Olympia peak".

The faces that have appeared in the final round include: Nguyen Thai Bao (5th year), Nguyen Manh Tan (8th year), Ho Ngoc Han (9th year), Thai Ngoc Huy (11th year), Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (16th year), Nguyen Minh Triet (23rd year) and Vo Quang Phu Duc (24th year).

Among these, 3 students have excellently brought the championship laurel wreath to the school: Ho Ngoc Han, Ho Dac Thanh Chuong and Vo Quang Phu Duc. This is a testament to the position and sustainable academic tradition of the school with a history of more than 125 years.

In 2025, that tradition was continued by Le Quang Duy Khoa, the student who won impressively in the first quarter. The spectacular comeback helped Duy Khoa, the 8th Quoc Hoc Hue student, bring the final televised to Hue; at the same time marking a record of 3 consecutive years (2023, 2024, 2025) that Quoc Hoc Hue had a representative compete in the final of the year.

Not only famous for its rich history and unique ancient French architecture along the Perfume River, Quoc Hoc Hue is also known as the cradle of many talents of the country, the place that trained President Ho Chi Minh , General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Secretary Tran Phu and many other famous people.

Hue National University is now a special national monument.

In 1990, Hue National School was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic; by 2020, it continued to be ranked as a special national relic.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Tho - Principal of Hue National School, Olympia's achievements are the result of a long-term strategy and a methodical organizational model.

The school is where President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Secretary Tran Phu and many other famous people were trained.

“The school cooperated with former students to establish the group Torching Talents , now Red Laurel . This force organized Olympia simulation playgrounds right at the school, with full qualifying rounds, semi-finals, and finals to select the best candidates to represent the school to participate in the program Road to Olympia organized by VTV3,” said Mr. Tho.

After being selected, the candidates continue to receive knowledge training according to the plan of the Red Laurel content department, with support from subject teachers and former students. "We regularly organize simulation matches, helping students practice tactical skills, handle situations, ring the bell, type... The school and Red Laurel always accompany students to have a solid knowledge and mindset when entering the big playground", Mr. Tho emphasized.

This morning, October 26, at the Song Huong Theater (Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City) - which can accommodate about 1,000 spectators, the final round of the Road to Olympia 2025 will take place.

At the year's final, Le Quang Duy Khoa and the 3 best contestants will conquer the 25th season of Olympia. This is an alternative venue after the outdoor event plan at the Nghenh Luong Dinh - Phu Van Lau relic site (North bank of the Huong River) had to be adjusted due to unfavorable weather.
