The Vice President awarded the Labor Order to students who won prizes at the 2025 International Olympiads in science and technology.

On December 12th, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice Chairwoman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, met with and presented Labor Orders to outstanding students who won prizes in the 2025 International Olympiads and Science and Technology competitions.

Expressing joy and emotion at meeting outstanding teachers and students, the Vice President emphasized that the achievements have inherited and promoted the fine tradition of valuing education and talent of our nation; at the same time, correctly implemented the wise policy of the Party and State, considering education and training along with science and technology as top national priorities.

Acknowledging the outstanding achievements of the education sector in 2025, the Vice President stated that in international Olympiads and science and technology competitions, the education sector has adopted new orientations, not only participating in basic sciences but also focusing more on new technologies and science and technology. These are important fields, in line with the general development trends of science and technology in the new era.

Not only have their achievements contributed to raising Vietnam's status as a leading educational institution on the international stage, but they have also helped elevate Vietnam's position in the field of education and training, placing it on par with leading nations around the world.

Emphasizing that advanced education and talent development are very special and unique fields for creating talented, high-quality human resources to serve specific and practical areas for the country's development, the Vice President suggested that the education sector and localities should have a systematic, balanced, and innovative orientation, plan, and investment in talent development; creating human resources in the country's future key sectors.

The Vice President emphasized that the Ministry of Education and Training, localities, schools, and families need to create an environment that encourages students to love and be passionate about learning, to express their talents and passion for scientific research; and to focus on identifying, nurturing, and providing in-depth training for students who win high awards in competitions so that they can truly become future talents of the country.

The Vice President expressed his hope that parents would continue to support and encourage their children to maximize their potential, live happily and contentedly with their achievements, and avoid the pressure of chasing after accomplishments.

Commending the achievements, accomplishments, and tireless efforts of the students over the past period, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan stated that the students have the right to be confident and proud of their achievements; to actively support and inspire other peers who are passionate about research and conquering new heights, thereby creating a talented generation for the future.

The Vice President expressed his wish that students should grasp the trends of the times, have a solid future orientation, and become successful members of society; at the same time, they should actively cultivate good character and responsibility towards their homeland, country, and community, becoming good citizens who are beneficial to society.

On this occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the Second-Class Labor Medal and the Third-Class Labor Medal to 24 students who achieved outstanding results in international subject Olympiads and international science and technology research competitions in 2025.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Commendation to 6 students who achieved outstanding results in international subject Olympiads and international science and technology research competitions in 2025.

Responding to the remarks of the Vice President, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan stated that the Vice President's speech was not only a great source of encouragement but also an important direction for the education and training sector to continue developing and fulfilling its mission in the future.

The Ministry of Education and Training will continue to implement comprehensive educational reform solutions, focusing on identifying and nurturing talent; striving to train generations of students who are not only excellent in knowledge and skills but also imbued with traditional cultural values, national spirit, gratitude, and social responsibility.

Over the past year, under the leadership of the Party, the attention of the Government, and the direct guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnamese education has achieved many important accomplishments. Success in international and regional Olympiads and the 2025 Science and Technology Research Competition is the clearest evidence, affirming Vietnam's position in the region and the world.

In 2025, Vietnam had 7 delegations participating in international and regional Olympiads, with a total of 37 students. The Vietnamese student delegations brought home outstanding achievements, with all contestants winning awards, including: 13 gold medals, 16 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals.
