Accordingly, the two gold medals went to two students from Bac Giang Specialized High School: Than The Cong and Truong Phi Hung. Previously, Than The Cong also won the only gold medal for the Vietnamese team at the 2024 Asian Physics Olympiad.
The three silver medals were awarded to the following students: Nguyen Nhat Minh (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences ), Ha Duy Phuc (Lam Son High School for Gifted Students, Thanh Hoa), and Nguyen Thanh Duy (Tran Phu High School for Gifted Students, Hai Phong).

The 54th International Physics Olympiad was held in Iran from July 21-29.
According to the regulations of the IPhO 2024 Council, the exam consists of one theoretical test and one practical test. Each test lasts 5 hours. This year's exam is considered excellent and challenging, with both the theoretical and practical content closely related to real-life situations and touching upon applications of modern science and technology.
To win a gold medal, contestants must be in the top 8% of the highest-scoring participants.
The Vietnamese team is among the top-performing countries at this year's IPhO. Last year, the Vietnamese team won 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.
The IPhO 2024 organizing committee will hold the closing ceremony and awards presentation on July 28, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM (Iranian time).
