The Vietnam team will play at home in two matches against Nepal.

(Dan Tri) - A match between the Vietnamese team and the Nepal team in the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC) in mid-October.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) said that both matches between the Vietnamese team and the Nepal team in October will take place in our country.

The first match on October 9 will be held at Go Dau Stadium (HCMC). The second match, on October 14, will be held at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC). Both matches are in the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

According to the old schedule, the match on October 14th will take place in Nepal. However, this country currently has no intention of organizing the above match, they give the hosting rights to the VFF.

Nepal and Vietnam are in Group F of the 3rd qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, along with Malaysia and Laos.

Currently, Malaysia leads this group with 6 points after two matches, the Vietnamese team is second in the group with 3 points. Meanwhile, Nepal has no points, ranked bottom of the group. Nepal has experienced two losses against Malaysia (0-2) in March and against Laos (1-2) in June.

As for the Vietnamese team, coach Kim Sang Sik's team is determined to regain the top spot from Malaysia in the remaining matches of the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

In the past few days, the Vietnamese team has had two friendly matches with two domestic clubs, the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) and Nam Dinh . These are the matches that the Vietnamese team used to prepare for the match against Nepal this coming October.
