Over the years, social assistance, child care and protection work in the province has been carried out with a sense of responsibility and profound humanity. Authorities at all levels have always accompanied children and vulnerable groups, providing timely support and creating conditions for all people to have the opportunity to rise up.

Social assistance work has been effectively implemented by the province, spreading the spirit of sharing in the community.

In order to ensure that social security work goes into depth, Tay Ninh province has implemented many synchronous solutions, both fully implementing the central government's policies and issuing specific policies suitable to local conditions. Thanks to that, the scope of social protection beneficiaries has been increasingly expanded, and many difficult cases outside the general regulations have also received timely support.

Master Nguyen Hoang Uyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Health , said: "Currently, the whole province has more than 137,600 social protection and social pensioners receiving monthly allowances in the community. In addition, there are 917 subjects with especially difficult circumstances being cared for and nurtured at 15 social assistance facilities."

Policies for wishing and celebrating longevity are maintained regularly, demonstrating the province's respect and care for the elderly. For children, the province maintains forums and models for preventing and combating violence and abuse, and mobilizes all resources to award scholarships and gifts to children in difficult circumstances.

In particular, the monthly social allowance payment is always carried out fully, transparently and on time. Ms. Pham Thi Anh (residing in Khanh Hau ward) expressed: "Thanks to the monthly allowance, I can cover some of my living expenses and feel more secure in life. The valuable thing is that the ward officials regularly visit my house and guide me through the procedures for receiving the allowance, helping me feel that I am not left behind."

Along with expanding policy coverage, the province also strengthens communication to raise community awareness, closely connecting family - school - society in education and child care. The application of information technology in managing social assistance policies through online public services and electronic one-stop system helps administrative procedures to be transparent, simple, shorten processing time, and facilitate people to monitor the progress of their records.

Many cases of difficult circumstances received timely support.

“Social assistance policies are increasingly rich and diverse, the material and spiritual life of social protection beneficiaries has improved significantly. Many people confidently integrate into the community, contributing to improving the quality of social security in the province,” Ms. Nguyen Hoang Uyen emphasized.

Since July 1, 2025, the two-level local government model has been put into operation, bringing many advantages to social security work. Policies are implemented directly from the province to the commune and ward, helping to shorten the time, enhance coordination between levels, and provide quick and appropriate support. However, the workload of the provincial and commune levels has increased significantly. Reviewing and avoiding policy duplication with the Social Insurance sector is still difficult due to the lack of a common database.

To overcome these limitations, the Department of Health organizes training and professional development for grassroots staff, while promoting the application of information technology, effectively utilizing the two-level local government model to improve the quality of social protection work and child care and protection.

With the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the close coordination between all levels and sectors, and the support of the whole society, the work of social assistance and child protection and care in Tay Ninh is gradually going into depth. Thereby, it contributes significantly to the goal of ensuring sustainable social security, towards a fair and humane society./.
