Not only implementing conservation projects, after merging the province, Dong Nai also temporarily handed over management to continue exploiting and promoting the value of the system of historical - cultural relics, scenic spots and cultural works in the province.

Restoration and embellishment of many relics

In 2025, Dong Nai has been, is and will be renovating and embellishing many works of historical and cultural value. Among them, the Phu My communal house relic in Phu Hoi commune (now Nhon Trach commune) has been proposed for restoration and embellishment. The relic has been affected by erratic weather and climate for a long time, and many items of the relic have seriously degraded. The main components of the wooden frame such as columns and rafters are damp and damaged up to 65%, and other items are also damaged by termites, affecting the original elements that make up the value of the relic.

The Nguyen Huu Canh Temple and Tomb relic in Tran Bien ward was temporarily handed over to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism by the People's Committee of Dong Nai province for management.

At the Binh Quan communal house relic, Tran Bien ward, over time, the impact of the environment and humans has caused the horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, worshiping boards, and arched doors of the relic to be covered with industrial paint. Some of the arched doors are damaged by termites, cracks, and the mortise and tenon joints are damaged. Faced with this situation, Dong Nai Museum has proposed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to carry out a project to restore the gilded lacquered horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, worshiping boards, and arched doors at the relic to bring the artifacts back to their original state, in accordance with regulations, to avoid the artifacts at the communal house from continuing to deteriorate and deteriorate, and the risk of losing the original artifacts at the relic.

In order to ensure the landscape, environmental sanitation and maintenance of construction items at Tran Bien Temple of Literature, Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai Museum recently coordinated with relevant units to renovate a number of construction items in the Tran Bien Cultural Celebrity Statue Garden area.

Specifically, the unit moved the banyan tree and stele planted by officers and soldiers of Air Force Regiment 935 to a location inside the campus; cleaned the area where people often offer incense at the rock mountain near the Ly Thai To monument; cleaned and replaced damaged stone benches, creating a clear path for visitors. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Plan to restore and embellish relics in the province for the period 2024-2028 with a total implementation cost of 331.5 billion VND to preserve the degraded relics to be restored, embellished, effectively promote the potential value of heritage, and develop tourism.

Currently, at the Binh Truoc Assembly House relic, Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province, some items such as: Security housing for village soldiers have degraded; the trusses, purlins, and wooden bridges have been damaged by termites. The front yard surrounding the main house is covered with cement mortar, cracked, sunken, and moldy, causing it to be slippery. The back yard of the main house has a corrugated iron roof that is rusted, rotten, and severely damaged. Therefore, Dong Nai Museum has requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recommend the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for approval in principle to assign the museum to carry out the urgent preservation and restoration of the Binh Truoc Assembly House relic.

After implementing the 2-level local government model, some contents in the above decisions are no longer suitable. Therefore, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province has issued a document temporarily assigning management and promoting the value of historical - cultural relics, scenic spots, and cultural works in the province. In particular, the People's Committee assigns agencies, units, and localities to take full responsibility before the Provincial People's Committee for the management and promotion of the value of relics; assigning managers, protecting the site and space of relics, protecting assets and artifacts, preventing acts of encroachment on relics, artifacts, and relics belonging to the relics.
