Dong Nai requests urgent repair of degraded items around Tran Bien Cultural Celebrity Statue Garden

The project's objective is to preserve and promote the value of the Tran Bien Temple of Literature relic, turning this place into a cultural and political center of the province, educating the tradition of patriotism, remembering the source of water when drinking, and national historical pride for all classes of people inside and outside the province, associated with tourism development.

The scope of the project is the space of the Temple of Literature relic area with an area of ​​nearly 15 hectares.

The project has proposed many contents to preserve and promote the value of the relic. These include planning the relic site; taking care of and renovating the landscape and trees of the relic site; installing stele and signposts leading to the relic site; installing an automatic explanation system; building a celebration house; renovating some items in the relic site; bringing students back to their roots at the relic site...

At the meeting, departments, branches and localities discussed the contents surrounding the project; encroachment on the roadside, ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, lighting... at the Tran Bien Temple of Literature relic area.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to review the conclusions and directions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the exploitation of the value of the Tran Bien Temple of Literature relic. The use of terms and sentences in the project must be revised to be accurate and complete; clearly supplement the funding sources for implementation in each stage; the preservation and promotion of the value of the relic must comply with the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage.

Regarding the implementation of public lighting projects in the Tran Bien Cultural Celebrity Statue Garden area, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung assigned Bien Hoa city to carry out.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned Dong Nai Museum to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to accurately re-determine the area of ​​the relic; urgently organize the repair of degraded items around the statue garden. The project needs to be studied and include the content of expanding the space between Tran Bien Temple of Literature and the statue garden (removing the separating fence).

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will submit additional and finalized proposals to the Provincial People's Committee in May 2025.
