The new route starts at the intersection with National Highway 91B (Nam Song Hau Road), in Dai Ngai Commune, and ends at the intersection with National Highway 60, Soc Trang Ward, Can Tho City. The route is designed according to the standards of a grade III plain road, with an operating speed of 80km/h.

Phase 1 of the route will be built with a scale of 2 lanes, but site clearance work will be carried out on a complete scale with a roadbed width of 20.5m, creating favorable conditions for future expansion.

After adjustment, the total designed length of the entire Dai Ngai bridge project is 27.44km. Of which, the bridge section is 3.42km long, the road section (including medium and small bridges on the route) is 24.02km long.

The preliminary total investment for phase 1 of the project is over 7,962 billion VND, using state budget capital. The implementation period is from 2023 and expected to be put into operation from 2028.
