On May 6, Tien Phong reporter noted that the Ho Chi Minh road project connecting Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh and Long An provinces could not be technically opened to traffic as planned.
Speaking to reporters regarding the Ho Chi Minh Road project that missed its deadline, a representative of the contractor constructing the Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) - Duc Hoa (Long An) section passing through Binh Duong province said that according to plan, the road would be open to traffic on the occasion of the April 30 holiday. However, the problems have not been resolved so far, so it cannot be opened to traffic as planned.
For the project points and sections that are not subject to site clearance, the construction unit has basically completed the asphalt concrete paving, meeting the conditions for traffic opening. Road markings and the traffic system are expected to be completed by May 15. However, to reach this milestone, relevant localities and investors need to promptly resolve site clearance difficulties.

In order for the project to achieve the set progress, the construction unit requested the authorities of Binh Duong province, Bau Bang and Dau Tieng districts to urgently complete compensation and site clearance; have a plan to mobilize households to hand over the site to the project early, and relocate the fiber optic cable and medium power line soon. Request Dau Tieng Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. to facilitate the cutting down of rubber trees to hand over the site to the project.
