Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project: Low disbursement due to site clearance problems

The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project is located in Khanh Hoa province with a length of 31.5km, managed by the Provincial People's Committee (component project 1). Of which, the first 20km of the route (from Km0 - Km22 connecting National Highway 1 to National Highway 26) is currently facing land issues with 2 households in Ninh Da ward, Ninh Hoa town.

The Project Management Board (PMU) for Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Transport Works of Khanh Hoa Province (investor) said that it has proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee to promptly resolve the above problem to hand over the site to the construction unit.

The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Component 1 project started construction in June 2023, with a total investment of VND 5,632 billion, expected to be completed in early 2027. In 2025, the project was assigned VND 1,375 billion, but due to slow site clearance, only VND 212 billion has been disbursed so far, reaching 15.42%.
