According to a VNA reporter in Seoul, speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lee Jung Yeol - Chairman of the Wooduk Yoon Duk Byung Foundation - said the scholarship was built on the legacy and humanistic philosophy of the late Chairman Yoon Duk Byung, the group's founder. "Nurturing global talent is the foundation for promoting cooperation and common prosperity between Korea, Vietnam and Uzbekistan," Mr. Lee emphasized.
This year, the Foundation awarded 45 scholarships worth 3 million won (about 2,100 USD) each to international students studying in Korea, with students from Vietnam and Uzbekistan making up the majority. This is the third consecutive year the program has been organized, with a total of nearly 100 students receiving support since its launch in 2023.

Mr. Lee Jeong Yeol - Director of Hy Social Welfare Foundation - said that the Wooduk Scholarship Fund not only provides financial support but also encourages students to become "a bridge of friendship" between Vietnam, Korea and Uzbekistan. He stated: "Each selected student will continue to receive the scholarship every year until graduation, as long as they maintain good academic results and a high sense of responsibility."

Vietnamese student representative Nghiem Phuong Dung - an international student at Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) - shared: "This scholarship is not only a source of financial support but also a bridge for cultural and artistic exchange, contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Korea."

Le Thi Thuy Linh - a second-year student at Chonnam National University - also expressed: "I will strive to study, participate in social activities and contribute positive values to the community, worthy of the trust that the Fund has given me."
The Wooduk Yoon Duk Byung Foundation was established in 2010 and has so far supported nearly 1,500 individuals and organizations with a total of over 4.9 billion won. The foundation operates as a non-profit organization, focusing on education and medicine, while promoting cultural exchange and humanitarian cooperation between countries.
Hy-Paldo Group is operating two factories in Vietnam, Paldo Vina in Phu Tho and Tay Ninh, along with a representative office in Uzbekistan.

The scholarship award ceremony ended with a souvenir photo session and an exchange lunch, affirming hy-Paldo Group's commitment to accompanying the global youth generation and building a foundation for sustainable cooperation between the three countries.
