Tourists will soon experience the Hue tourist train

On March 2, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province informed that the local working delegation had just had a working session with Vietnam Railways Corporation on the implementation of the Hue - Da Nang tourist train.

Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, said that after the meeting between Vietnam Railway Corporation and Thua Thien Hue Province in November on the implementation of the Hue - Da Nang train route, Thua Thien Hue Province directed departments and branches to assess and survey the current traffic situation between Hue and Da Nang, tourist groups and forms of travel; worked with Thua Thien Hue Tourism Association to discuss cooperation solutions with Vietnam Railway Corporation to operate the Hue - Da Nang train.

Mr. Hoang Hai Minh said that to deploy the Hue - Da Nang tourist train, it is necessary to evaluate and identify the main group of customers using this route as a means of transportation to choose a suitable implementation plan; study similar models to come up with a suitable plan.

In addition, the construction of services on the Hue - Da Nang route must be different in the direction of train services with route experiences and tourist services on the route and on the train as well as tourist services between the two destinations Hue and Da Nang and the tourist destination Lang Co; contributing to ensuring traffic connections for people between the two cities of Hue and Da Nang.

In addition, it is necessary to develop implementation plans to be able to combine with tourism and travel businesses and related businesses between the two cities to create close cooperation between Vietnam Railways Corporation, the authorities of Da Nang city and Thua Thien Hue province, tourism and service businesses in the two localities.

Hue - Da Nang is known as the most beautiful railway route in Vietnam.

Thua Thien Hue Province has assigned the Provincial Development Research Institute to conduct a survey of over 400 visitors and residents in Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang to find out the wishes and requirements of people when traveling or experiencing the Hue - Da Nang railway route.

The Department of Tourism and the Institute for Development Studies also had a working session with the Business Association, the Tourism Association of Thua Thien Hue province and more than 20 tourism, travel and culinary enterprises of Thua Thien Hue province to propose cooperation contents and proposals for additional services and experiences on board.

At the meeting, relevant units focused on discussing contents related to cooperation plans for operation; train running capacity; passenger transport volume; plans to innovate products and services to improve food quality; improve train car quality; add entertainment services on train cars...

According to Mr. Manh, the deployment of the Hue - Da Nang tourist train meets the criteria of safety and comfort for passengers. This is a very suitable service for those who experience it with their families, helping tourists to admire the scenery of mountains, beaches, etc. The advantage of transporting passengers by rail on this route is that both Hue and Da Nang stations are located in the city center, with a large number of domestic and foreign passengers who need to travel in both directions, making it convenient for passengers to travel.

Vietnam Railways Corporation hopes to receive support from Thua Thien Hue Province and Da Nang City in implementing the Hue - Da Nang tourist train. At the same time, it is ready to cooperate with tourism businesses to discuss and develop the most optimal train operation and business plans to achieve the goals set by all parties.

At the meeting, the units and localities agreed on a number of plans and solutions to soon put into operation the Hue - Da Nang tourist train on March 26, 2024.
