On June 3rd, the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police is holding Ngo Quang Anh (28 years old, residing in Dong Hung Thuan Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) in custody for investigation into the acts of extortion and rape.
Ngo Quang Anh was arrested along with a computer containing numerous images and videos of prostitutes.
According to PC02, Ngo Quang Anh joined online social media groups to find prostitutes. After agreeing on a price, Ngo Quang Anh arranged to meet the prostitutes at a hotel. During the sexual act, Ngo Quang Anh secretly recorded it on video.
Afterward, Ngo Quang Anh used these images and videos to blackmail sex workers into providing free sex or giving him money. If they did not comply, Ngo Quang Anh would منتشر the nude images on social media or send them to the sex workers' friends and relatives.
Late on June 1st, the PC02 unit of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, in coordination with the Go Vap District Police, conducted an administrative inspection of a hotel on Nguyen Van Khoi Street (Ward 11, Go Vap District). In room 204 of the hotel, the police discovered Ngo Quang Anh having sexual intercourse with Ms. NTT.
Working with the police, Ms. NTT stated that after prostituting herself to Ngo Quang Anh, she received sensitive images of herself sent by him. Ngo Quang Anh demanded that Ms. NTT have sexual relations with him, otherwise he would post her nude photos online.
Ms. NTT negotiated to give Ngo Quang Anh her ring (worth 120 million VND), but Anh refused. On the evening of June 1st, Ngo Quang Anh arranged to meet Ms. NTT at a hotel on Nguyen Van Khoi Street for sexual intercourse. There, Ms. NTT gave Ngo Quang Anh 10 million VND and the ring she was wearing.
Police seized and examined Ngo Quang Anh's phone and computer, discovering numerous clips recording sexual acts and nude images of various people.
During questioning by the police, Ngo Quang Anh initially admitted to his criminal actions.
PC02 of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department announces that anyone who is a victim of Ngo Quang Anh should contact this unit to report and denounce the crime.
