The Center for Ecotourism and Environmental Education of Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park has just announced that it will temporarily stop welcoming visitors to experience the hiking route to Langbiang peak due to slippery roads and landslides, making it unsafe for visitors to experience.

The hiking trail to conquer Langbiang peak at 2,167m high belongs to Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park (Lam Dong province). With thousands of species of animals and plants, this is an ideal destination for tourists who love to explore nature.

According to the Center for Ecotourism and Environmental Education, the weather and terrain in this area are currently quite complicated.

Prolonged heavy rains have made the hiking trail to the top of Langbiang Mountain dangerous. Landslides have occurred in some areas, and there is a risk that trees could fall, endangering visitors.

Besides, traveling to the top of the mountain during the rainy season can make it easy for tourists to get lost and have difficulty determining direction due to the quick darkness and surrounding fog.

Recently, many tourists and spontaneous groups have climbed to the top of Langbiang without registering with professional tourism businesses.

Without a guide, some tourists got lost on Langbiang Mountain. To ensure safety, authorities had to quickly search and rescue these people at night.

Meanwhile, the rangers of Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park have to manage a very large forest area. There are many paths around the mountain, so it is difficult to keep track of cases of tourists climbing the mountain without permission.

In light of the above situation, Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park has decided to temporarily suspend the hiking route to Langbiang trail. The management unit will review and supplement safety measures for the route to conquer Langbiang mountain before the place welcomes visitors again.
