Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Le Thi Anh said: " Hanoi is a land of thousands of years of civilization, not only an economic and political center, but also a cradle of convergence and dissemination of the quintessence of national culture. Through many historical ups and downs, Thang Long - Hanoi has always been a place connecting heritage values, where the quintessence of traditional crafts is spread and cultivated over the years. Today's "Heritage Convergence" program is a vivid proof of that spirit."
“Heritage Convergence” is an opportunity to honor traditional craft villages, as well as to honor talented artisans, skilled workers and laborers who have persevered over time to preserve and revive traditional cultural values in modern times.
In addition, the program also opens up a space to inspire the young generation, who have the aspiration to inherit, innovate and develop traditional crafts with creative thinking, technology and international integration.
The theme “Heritage Convergence” this year was chosen with the meaning of connecting the three ancient capital cities of Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh) - Thang Long (Hanoi) and Phu Xuan (Hue) and being the convergence of cultural regions across the country, from the lowlands to the highlands, from the fertile Red River Delta to the majestic Central Highlands.

At the Thai Hoc area (Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam), skilled artisans from many traditional craft villages across the country directly performed and recreated the sophisticated stages in the process of making typical products of their homeland.
The activity aims to promote and introduce the quintessence of Vietnamese handicrafts to domestic and foreign tourists, while honoring the cultural values and creative labor of artisans from regions such as Ninh Binh, the Central Highlands, Hanoi, Hue, etc.
On the first day of visiting and experiencing the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa (Soc Son, Hanoi) excitedly shared: "It was a surprise when I entered this Thai Hoc area to hear the melodies of the Central Highlands and to see the traditional occupations of our ancestors in the past. It was touching that occupations such as silk weaving, handmade pottery... are still preserved to this day."

Meanwhile, Mr. Thanh (representative of Bat Bo Pottery Company, Ninh Binh) shared: " Coming to the "Heritage Convergence" program, our company brings sophisticated handmade ceramic products, completely hand-crafted with sculptural lines imbued with the breath of Vietnamese culture. Through these products, we hope to contribute to preserving and promoting the traditional beauty of ancient Vietnamese people, while spreading the spirit of creativity and pride in the pottery craft of Ninh Binh to a large number of tourists."

From November 1 to November 16, 2025, at the special national relic of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, there will also be a series of other activities within the framework of the "Thang Long - Hanoi Festival 2025". This is a key cultural and artistic event aiming to honor the heritage values of Thang Long - Hanoi and spread the spirit of creativity in the community.
