ANTD.VN - The average retail price of electricity will increase by 4.5% from today (November 9) to over 2,000 VND/kWh.

EVN announces electricity price adjustment on the afternoon of November 9th.

This afternoon, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) shared information regarding the adjustment of retail electricity prices.

Accordingly, the average retail electricity price has been adjusted upwards by 4.5%, from 1,920.3 VND/kWh to 2,006.79 VND/kWh, excluding VAT. This adjustment falls under the authority of EVN.

This is the second time since the beginning of this year that electricity prices have been adjusted upwards. Therefore, from today, the average retail price of electricity will increase by more than 86.41 VND/kWh compared to the previous price.

With two increases this year, electricity prices have risen by more than 142.35 VND/kWh.

Mr. Vo Quang Lam, Deputy General Director of EVN, said that the decision to adjust the average retail electricity price was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on November 8th.
