Family from Nghe An to Hanoi celebrates youngest singer awarded People's Artist title

Since the announcement of the list of artists to be awarded the title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in 2023, Pham Phuong Thao has attracted attention as the youngest singer to be awarded the title of People's Artist this time. Pham Phuong Thao was born on January 18, 1982, and is 42 years old this year.

Last year, the singer fulfilled her dream of building a new, spacious house for her parents in Nghe An with her siblings. Pham Phuong Thao was pleased because she had accomplished many of her wishes, and being awarded the title of People's Artist brought her complete happiness.

Growing up from the 2003 Sao Mai Awards with the third prize in folk style and "Most favorite singer", Pham Phuong Thao was soon loved by the public and became a prominent female folk music artist.

Since participating in artistic activities, Pham Phuong Thao has actively released musical products to the audience. Right after the Sao Mai 2003 contest, in 2004 she released her first album "Mot khuc tam tinh" and vol.2 in 2005 with the title "For Mom, for You and for Me".

In the years since then, Pham Phuong Thao has continuously released albums and individual MVs while also expanding into composing. Coming from the Huong Sen Song and Dance Troupe, Nghe An, Pham Phuong Thao was recruited directly to study at the Military College of Culture and Arts (now the Military University of Culture and Arts). After graduating, she joined the Vietnam Music and Dance Theater until now.
During her career, Pham Phuong Thao has continuously won many Gold Medals at professional national music festivals. She has also been a member of the Sao Mai Award Jury for many consecutive years.
Since 2016, Pham Phuong Thao has been awarded the title of Meritorious Artist and is one of the youngest faces to be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist at that time. In 2024, she is the youngest female singer to be awarded the title of People's Artist.
