Throughout the event, participants enjoyed free coffee tastings and more than 40 high-quality coffee samples that have been quality-tested by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI).
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga - Deputy Director of Nam Yang Agricultural Service Cooperative (Dak Doa district) said: "By participating in the event, we hope to bring high-quality coffee samples for customers to experience. The event not only promotes but also connects and shares stories about the coffee industry with domestic and international friends, bringing Gia Lai coffee products to the specialty coffee line. This is an opportunity for us to learn and improve our products."
During the event, locals and visitors experienced coffee tasting (cupping), gravity-fed coffee brewing (pour-over), and enjoyed the coffee flavors of prestigious and potential brands in the province. Mr. Nguyen Truong Minh (Ia Phin commune, Chu Prong district) shared: “Gia Lai people are making many very good and impressive specialty coffee lines. Each coffee line here has a different characteristic flavor from the roasting to the brewing method. As a coffee lover, I am very happy and excited about this coffee experience event”.
Coming from Lam Dong , Mr. Trieu Ha Hieu (Ward 6, Da Lat City) said: "After experiencing the coffee samples, I realized the richness and diversity of coffee in Gia Lai land".
Jo-Linn Ryner (a tourist from Stockholm, Sweden) said: “I feel great to be here and experience this coffee festival. I got to work at a coffee farm in Gia Lai and witness the process from coffee beans to finished products. Gia Lai people have put a lot of effort into creating high-quality coffee.”
“Basalt goes throughout three regions”
With the theme “Bazan goes across three regions”, Gia Lai Coffee Festival 2025 has been upgraded in both scale and quality. Not only attracting businesses, manufacturers and experts in the coffee industry, the event has also attracted people and tourists to visit and contribute to promoting the quality raw material area of Vietnam’s Robusta coffee in general and Gia Lai coffee in particular.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam - Director of BaristaBrewingCoffee Trading and Service Company Limited, Head of the event organizing committee - informed: Gia Lai Coffee Festival is a community event and all activities at the event are organized according to the journey "from farm to cup of coffee".
We expect that the high-quality coffee growing area of Gia Lai will become more and more widely known, and at the same time, the level of spread and connection of farmers will become more and more cohesive so that the local coffee ecosystem can develop sustainably.
The event not only connects Gia Lai coffee growing regions but also supports the local agricultural startup movement, especially the young generation returning to their homeland to make clean coffee, apply science and technology and do business through e-commerce.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Head of Lab (World Coffee Quality Institute in Vietnam) shared: I am in charge of tasting and evaluating the coffee quality of the farmer's samples. More than 40 coffee samples from Gia Lai province at this event will be selected and samples will be presented to represent the Gia Lai specialty coffee competition in the near future.
The Gia Lai Coffee Festival event is an important bridge to help parties in the coffee ecosystem such as scientists, businesses, farmers, roasters, baristas, share experiences and join hands for a coffee production industry according to standards.
“The Gia Lai Coffee Festival event has contributed to inspiring the efforts of young people who are passionate and enthusiastic about the development of high-quality Gia Lai coffee. After the first successful organization in 2023, this year, Gia Lai Coffee Festival has more diverse activities and is a place for consumers to learn about coffee beans and the story surrounding the province's key product,” Mr. Hoa affirmed.
