2025 AFF Women's Championship: Vietnam women's team meets Australia in semi-finals

After the final match of Group B of the 2025 AFF Women's Championship (AFF Cup 2025), the defending champion Philippines had to win if they wanted to hope to continue, but they could not complete the task when they only drew 1-1 with Myanmar.

The draw was enough for Myanmar to take the top spot in Group B with 7 points, while the Philippines only had 4 points, officially becoming the former Southeast Asian champions. Australia took second place in the group after a devastating 9-0 win over Timor Leste. This was the biggest surprise of the tournament when the defending champions, the Philippines, were eliminated early in the group stage.

Thus, the 4 best teams participating in the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship (AFF Cup 2025) have been determined, including: Host Vietnam, Thailand (Group A), Myanmar and U23 Australia (Group B).

In the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, Myanmar will face Thailand at 4:00 p.m. on August 16, while Vietnam will face Australia at 8:00 p.m. the same day.
