Opening Ceremony of the "Sustainable Employment" Fair 2025

The event featured the participation of 34 organizations with over 40 booths from businesses and vocational education institutions, showcasing more than 12,000 job and enrollment opportunities both domestically and internationally. Of these, businesses were seeking to recruit over 7,000 workers, while colleges and vocational schools offered more than 5,000 enrollment slots.

Over the past period, various levels of government, sectors, and localities have implemented numerous solutions to address employment issues, maximizing the advantages of human resources and contributing to reducing unemployment and underemployment. From 2024 to the first half of 2025 alone, the city facilitated employment for over 28,200 workers, including nearly 3,900 who went to work abroad under contract. Vocational education institutions enrolled over 23,000 students, with 14,803 graduating. This has contributed to the development and improvement of the quality of human resources, especially high-quality human resources. It is projected that by the end of 2025, the percentage of trained workers in the city will reach 75%.

Despite achieving many positive results, the city's labor market still faces shortcomings. The imbalance between labor supply and demand persists; the quality of jobs in the informal sector remains low; and stability and sustainability are lacking. Job fairs have not yet fully realized their potential. The "Sustainable Employment" event in 2025 is expected to address these limitations and strengthen connections between businesses, training institutions, and workers.

Students and job seekers can find information about admissions and vocational training opportunities at the counseling booth.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Chi Tai emphasized: “The Sustainable Job Fair not only provides job opportunities for workers but also affirms the city's determination to build a modern, flexible, efficient, and sustainable labor market. To achieve this, the city focuses on several approaches: expanding job opportunities for the poor, near-poor, and people with disabilities; creating conditions for young people and women to start businesses; promoting the connection between supply and demand through job exchanges and digital platforms; reforming procedures to ensure the rights of workers are protected quickly and transparently; and closely linking vocational education with the practical needs of businesses.”

Sustainable Job Fair This is the key to both improving the quality of human resources and promoting rapid and sustainable economic and social growth, and it is also Hue's commitment to accompanying and supporting workers and businesses to develop together.
