Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh welcomes the International Grand Prix professional motorboat race.

If you want to experience an action-packed and dramatic movie right before your eyes, then plan to attend the 2024 UIM-F1H₂O professional motorboat and UIM-ABP Aquabike jet ski races. Speaking of the F1H₂O race – it's the "F1 of the motorboat world" and is considered one of the most spectacular and exciting sports in the world. Each racer's boat is equipped with a powerful engine and high-speed propellers, allowing the boat to reach extremely high speeds and turn left, right, up, or down rapidly. The racing boats, though compact, have very high horsepower, reaching speeds of up to 145 km/h on corners and 226 km/h on straight sections. During the competition, racers must overcome obstacles and curves, requiring concentration and extremely refined boat control skills. What makes each race special is that the drivers face and adapt to the varying environmental, water, and weather conditions at different race locations. In F1H₂O races, drivers typically complete several laps, each lasting approximately 40-45 minutes. This isn't just a battle for the drivers alone; it's also a battle for the technical teams behind them, who make the necessary adjustments to help the motorboats achieve maximum speed and allow the drivers to best showcase their skills. Each UIM-F1H₂O season attracts thousands of speed enthusiasts from around the world to witness thrilling races and spectacular displays of speed on the water between professional drivers. Beyond their talent and technique, these drivers provide spectators and visitors with unforgettable experiences of this extreme water sport. Regarding the 2024 race, the UIM-F1H₂O organizing committee stated that international experts had surveyed numerous cities and provinces in Vietnam and decided to choose Thi Nai Lagoon, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh as the location for the 2024 Grand Prix of Binh Dinh.

Thi Nai Lagoon - A leading destination for the development of water-based adventure sports in Vietnam.

Many people have heard of the pristine beauty of Thi Nai Lagoon in Binh Dinh, where visitors can find the most beautiful feelings of simple and free life. But few realize that Thi Nai Lagoon is expected to become a destination for international-level sports, marking Vietnam's image on the world sports map. With a water surface area of over 5,000 hectares, Thi Nai Lagoon is one of the largest saltwater lagoons in Binh Dinh. Here, not only is the scenery stunning, but it is also home to hundreds of hospitable people from the coastal region. They are fishermen who make their living from fishing and shrimp farming, providing fresh seafood products for locals and tourists alike. Besides its pristine beauty, Thi Nai Lagoon is also a significant historical site during the resistance against the Mongol invaders in the 19th century. Photo: Minh Tu

Therefore, holding a professional motorboat racing event in a new location like Binh Dinh, Vietnam, will contribute to promoting not only Binh Dinh but also many other localities to provide more high-quality tourism services, creating a chain connecting marine and island tourism products, tours, and routes with provinces in the Central and Central Highlands regions and countries along the East-West corridor, actively contributing to great achievements and outstanding milestones in the socio -economic development of Binh Dinh province. The Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 event will help enhance the image of Thi Nai, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, and Vietnam as a whole, making Vietnam an attractive destination for tourists who love sports and seek new experiences.
