On the afternoon of August 20, the Traffic Police Department informed about traffic diversion from 10:00 a.m. on August 21 to 5:00 a.m. on August 22 for trucks of 10 tons or more, passenger cars of 45 seats or more (except for passenger cars on fixed routes, buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with badges serving the anniversary and priority vehicles on duty).
Specifically, for road vehicles from the Northern provinces to the Northwestern provinces and vice versa: from National Highway 32 → Provincial Road 316 → Provincial Road 317 → National Highway 6 to the Northwestern provinces (do not go through Dong Quang Bridge, Vinh Thinh Bridge, Trung Ha Bridge, Van Lang Bridge).
Vehicles arriving at IC4, IC8 intersections of Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway and the intersection of National Highway 2 with National Highway 2C follow the above traffic flow route.

Road vehicles from the Northern provinces to the Northeastern provinces and vice versa, following the Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway or National Highway 2A → National Highway 18 (Ha Long - Noi Bai Expressway) → turn onto the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway at the intersection of National Highway 18 with CT07 (Yen Phong commune, Bac Ninh province) → go to the intersection with Ring Road 3 (near Phu Dong bridge) → National Highway 1A (Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway (CT01) to the Northeastern provinces.
Road vehicles from the Northwestern provinces (National Highway 6) going to the South and vice versa, at Man Duc intersection (Km101+120 National Highway 6, Tan Lac commune, Phu Tho province): follow National Highway 12B to Cho Mia intersection (Km496+600 Ho Chi Minh road, Dai Dong commune, Phu Tho province) → Ho Chi Minh road to the Southern provinces.
At Doc Cun (Km83+530 National Highway 6, Cao Phong commune, Phu Tho province): follow Provincial Road 12B → Hang Doi intersection (Km47+700 DT12B) → National Highway 21 → Ho Chi Minh road (km 450+900, Cao Duong commune, Phu Tho province) to Thanh Hoa, southern provinces.
Road transport from the southern provinces to the northwestern or eastern provinces
Dong Giao Interchange (Km282 CT01, Tam Diep Ward, Ninh Binh Province): follow the direction of Hoa Lu Avenue → National Highway 12B → Ho Chi Minh Road to Phu Tho Province, Northwest.
Mai Son Interchange (Km274 CT01, Yen Thang Ward, Ninh Binh Province): follow the old Ninh Binh City bypass → National Highway 1 to the intersection with National Highway 21B (old Provincial Road 494) → Phu Ly bypass to Phu Tho, Northwestern provinces.
Vehicles turn right onto National Highway 21B (old provincial road 494) to the eastern provinces.
Cao Bo node (Km260 CT01, Y Yen commune, Ninh Binh province): follow National Highway 10 to the eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Quang Ninh).
Liem Tuyen Interchange (Km230 CT01, Liem Tuyen Ward, Ninh Binh Province): go to National Highway 21B (old Provincial Road 494) → connecting road Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway with Hanoi - Ninh Binh Expressway to the Eastern provinces.
Vehicles follow National Highway 21B → Phu Ly bypass to Phu Tho and the Northwestern provinces.
Vuc Vong junction (Km219 CT01, Dong Van ward, Ninh Binh province): follow National Highway 38 → Yen Lenh bridge → National Highway 39 → Pho Noi → National Highway 5 or Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway to the eastern provinces.
Vehicles from the Eastern provinces to the Southern, Northeastern, Northern provinces and vice versa
From Yen My intersection (Km21+500 CT04, Yen My commune, Hung Yen province): go to the road connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway with Hanoi - Ninh Binh expressway via Hung Ha bridge → Liem Tuyen intersection or go to National Highway 39 via Yen Lenh bridge → Hanoi - Ninh Binh expressway to the southern provinces;
From Yen My intersection, go to National Highway 5 → National Highway 17 or to National Highway 1A (Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway) to the Northern and Northeastern provinces.
For National Highway 5: From Nhan Hoa overpass (Km24+250 National Highway 5): → National Highway 39 → Yen Lenh bridge or the road connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway with Hanoi - Ninh Binh expressway via Hung Ha bridge → Hanoi - Ninh Binh expressway to the southern provinces. From National Highway 5 → National Highway 17 or onto National Highway 1A (Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway) to the northern and northeastern provinces.
Vehicles from the Northeastern provinces to the Northern and Eastern provinces and vice versa
From Kha Le overpass (Km139 National Highway 1A) → National Highway 18 or to the intersection with CT07 to go to the northern provinces. Vehicles go to Bo Son overpass (Km138+500 National Highway 1A) → National Highway 38 → National Highway 17 to go to National Highway 5 or Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway to go to the eastern provinces.
For provincial road 295B (old National Highway 1A): From the intersection with provincial road 277 (Tu Son clock tower, Km154+100 DT 295B) turn right onto the new provincial road 277 (towards Dong Ky) → provincial road 286 → Huynh Thuc Khang street (Yen Phong commune, Bac Ninh province) → National Highway 18 to the northern provinces.
Vehicles coming from the intersection with Provincial Road 277 → National Highway 1A (towards Den Do) to the Eastern provinces. Routes, times, types of road vehicles are completely banned, temporarily banned, and restricted from operating in the inner city of Hanoi, following the temporary traffic diversion notice of the Hanoi City Police.
On the same day, Hanoi City Police also announced to adjust traffic flow hours earlier than previously announced.
