Correcting mistakes
In round 8 of V-League 2025-2026, HAGL won 2-1 against The Cong Viettel. In round 9, HAGL tied with defending champion Nam Dinh 2-2. With 4 goals scored in the last 2 rounds, HAGL scored 4 times more goals than the number of goals they had scored from the beginning of the tournament until round 8 (before that, HAGL only had 1 goal).

HAGL has changed significantly in the last 2 rounds.

That shows that in the last 2 rounds, the mountain town team's playing style has changed significantly compared to previous matches. HAGL plays more offensively, tries to move the ball up the field more, instead of just focusing on defense and sometimes... wasting time like in the early matches of the season.
As we have mentioned, the reason why HAGL played poorly, often losing in the early stages of the season, was because they played too heavily on defense. HAGL at that time lacked sharp counterattacks. This style of play led to the opponents no longer having to be wary of HAGL's attack. Opponents freely pushed up their formation to pressure HAGL, causing constant pressure on the defensive area of the mountain town team, scoring goals against HAGL, winning against HAGL was therefore easier for other teams.
Very commendable change of HAGL
After realizing their mistake, HAGL has made significant changes in their playing style in the last 2 rounds. The team, led by Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh, still tries to promote their strength in defense. But besides that, they have paid more attention to the attack. Organizing midfielder Marciel was instructed to keep the ball better, while strikers Ryan Ha, Tran Gia Bao... were encouraged to rush forward more, rushing straight into the gaps in the opponent's defense.

Will the mountain town team play better in the next rounds?

It was this style of play that helped HAGL transform in the recent matches against The Cong Viettel and Nam Dinh. HAGL was successful in those two matches, they won 4 points after only 2 matches against strong opponents, more than the total number of points that the city team had in all the matches they had before (HAGL only had 3 points before meeting The Cong Viettel in round 8).
After the initial period of making mistakes with a too passive defensive style of play, HAGL has now changed, they are ready to attack when needed, at certain times, against certain opponents. This change helps HAGL to be more balanced, the ability to win increases. This could be the premise for HAGL to gain more points in the future.
