Hai Phong City commits to accompany in building an open, transparent and effective investment and business environment.

Comrade Tran Van Quan, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee and leaders of Customs Branch III commended and rewarded typical enterprises that contributed large revenue to the city.

On the morning of November 18, the Customs Branch of Region III organized a meeting with businesses in 2025. There were 220 typical businesses in Hai Phong attending.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Van Quan, on behalf of the city's leaders, commended and acknowledged the achievements of the Customs Branch III in the past time. He emphasized that the success of the Customs sector and the city cannot be separated from the close cooperation and companionship of the business community. It is the cooperation, sharing and spirit of law compliance of businesses that have helped Hai Phong Customs effectively implement the program "Enterprises voluntarily comply with customs laws", contributing to building a civilized, professional and sustainable import-export environment.

According to Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Van Quan, in the coming time, Hai Phong city will continue to synchronously deploy solutions to achieve the goal of rapid and sustainable development, becoming a modern logistics and seaport center of the region, striving to achieve a GRDP growth rate of over 12% and state budget revenue exceeding VND 190,000 billion.

To achieve that goal, he suggested that the Customs Branch of Region III continue to promote tradition, accelerate reform, modernization, and effectively implement new models such as Centralized Customs, Digital Customs, and Smart Customs. Enterprises should strengthen cooperation and comply with customs laws to build a transparent, fair, and sustainable trade environment. Departments, branches, and localities should closely coordinate with the Customs Branch of Region III in supporting enterprises, removing bottlenecks in logistics, warehousing, infrastructure connection, and human resources.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed that Hai Phong is committed to continuing to accompany businesses, the Customs sector and central agencies in the area to build an open, transparent and effective investment and business environment, contributing to the successful implementation of the city's socio -economic development goals in 2025 and the following years.

According to the leader of the Customs Branch of Region III, by October 18, 2025, the branch had reached the target of 66,600 billion VND in budget revenue, exceeding the estimate and the budget revenue target 75 days in advance. By November 18, 2025, the budget revenue had reached nearly 75,000 billion VND, exceeding the estimate by 11.2%. The Customs Branch of Region III is the unit that finished first in the industry among the units assigned the budget revenue estimate. The amount of seaport infrastructure fees collected by November 16, 2025 reached 1,342 billion VND, reaching 99.4% of the target, up 9.9% over the same period last year. The total import-export turnover by November 15, 2025 reached 121.7 billion USD, up 6.8%...

Along with that, the Regional Customs Branch III promotes customs reform and modernization, moving towards digital customs and smart customs, preparing adequate resources to effectively deploy the centralized customs clearance model, contributing to reducing time and costs for businesses.

At the conference, leaders of the Customs Branch of Region III exchanged and had dialogue with the business community, fully listening to opinions and recommendations arising during the implementation of customs procedures. Problems related to policies, business processes, documents, goods inspection, etc. were resolved right at the conference.

The Department updates and disseminates new regulations of the Customs sector so that businesses can promptly grasp and be proactive in import and export activities. This is also an opportunity to strengthen two-way coordination, create unity and substantially remove difficulties, and improve service efficiency for businesses.

At the conference, 46 typical enterprises with large revenue contributions in the area were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee of Hai Phong city.
