Hai Phong provides free transportation for nearly 10,000 visitors to the Exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness"

On September 15, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) of Hai Phong City said that after a week of implementation, Hai Phong City has organized 230 free shuttle buses to serve people visiting the exhibition of the country's achievements "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" at the National Exhibition Center (Hanoi Capital).

Deployed since September 8, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City was assigned by the City People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with 20 enterprises and business households to provide vehicles and human resources, and to transport thousands of people for free, ensuring care, safety and efficiency.

People gathered at the Vietnam-Czech Friendship Cultural Palace waiting to get on the free bus to visit the Exhibition.

Specifically, in the East (old Hai Phong city area), 130 trips were made to pick up 6,005 people, in the West (old Hai Duong province area), 100 trips were made to pick up 3,962 people, a total of 9,962 people were picked up to visit the Exhibition.

In addition, the Organizing Committee arranged 247 staff members from departments and agencies, volunteers to go along with the support vehicles, guide people to visit the exhibition and 405 other volunteers to support at the pick-up and drop-off points.

Many elderly people participated in the program and were served enthusiastically and thoughtfully.

According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the opening time, the exhibition areas of Hai Phong City at the national exhibition welcomed about 400 thousand visitors. Among them were many wounded soldiers, meritorious people, people with disabilities and foreign tourists, all of whom were welcomed and served attentively by Hai Phong staff and volunteers, contributing to the overall success of the country's important events.

The initiative to organize free shuttle buses for people to visit the Exhibition "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness journey" of Hai Phong City has received responsible support from the business community, received response from the people and left a very positive impression in public opinion.
