(HQ Online) - On April 5, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Police, conducted a fire fighting and rescue drill for its officers, civil servants, and employees at the unit's headquarters.
Professional firefighters provide guidance on handling the situation.
With various simulated scenarios, the drill aimed to enhance the awareness and professional skills of the on-site fire fighting and rescue forces; and at the same time, to enable professional fire fighting forces in the area to understand the situation and characteristics of the unit so that they can proactively carry out fire fighting and rescue when incidents occur.
At the same time, it helps to better understand the importance of proactively implementing measures to strengthen fire prevention and rescue work. This allows staff to practice fire prevention and rescue skills, fostering proactiveness in handling situations.
Many hypothetical scenarios were presented for practice.
This also serves as a means to inspect equipment and the coordination of forces, thereby improving the level and capability of readiness and handling of emergency situations in combat operations. At the same time, it is a method to check the proper functioning of equipment and vehicles at the headquarters; to promptly detect, replace, and maintain them to support fire prevention and rescue readiness.
The training session was conducted under the practical guidance of professional firefighters.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, on March 12, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch No. 21/CD-TTg on strengthening fire prevention and fighting work. This dispatch requires provinces and cities to improve the effectiveness of disseminating information and providing guidance on knowledge and skills in fire prevention, fighting, rescue, and relief.
Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, shared knowledge and experience with customs officers and staff.
Over the past period, fire prevention and rescue work has always been a priority for the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, considering it a key task in the unit's work program. Therefore, the unit has done a good job in fire prevention and control, ensuring safety in the workplace, and preventing any fires or workplace accidents.
