Tens of thousands of visitors come for spring travel, Bac Ha plateau 'sold out' of hotel rooms

According to statistics of the People's Committee of Bac Ha district, from the beginning of 2025 to now, there have been nearly 150,000 tourists coming to Bac Ha.

Tourists come to Bac Ha on this occasion mainly to take pictures of white plum blossoms, visit the residence of King Meo Hoang A Tuong, and tour and experience the culture of the Bac Ha highlands.

Mr. Vang Van Hung (43 years old, resident of Na Hoi commune) said that he provides a service of renting white horses for tourists to take pictures, and every weekend there are a lot of tourists coming to Bac Ha.

According to Mr. Hung, every day there are about 50 customers renting his horses to take pictures and he earns about 1.5 million VND/day on weekends.

The high number of tourists on weekends causes accommodation facilities in Bac Ha district to be fully booked these days.

The owner of the Square Hotel in Bac Ha town said that her facility was fully booked two weeks ago.

"Many guests called and came directly to the hotel to book rooms, but we had to refuse them all," said the owner of Square Hotel.

Mr. Nguyen Tu (58 years old, from Hanoi ) shared that he and his family had just traveled to Sa Pa. On the way back, everyone continued to move to Bac Ha district for sightseeing.

Mr. Tu said that although he called acquaintances and searched for hotels and motels, all were fully booked.

Speaking to VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Huy Trung, Chairman of Bac Ha District Tourism Association, said that accommodation facilities in the district can only accommodate about 5,000 guests and have been fully booked for about 2 weeks now.

According to Mr. Trung, currently, tourists who want to stay overnight can find local residents. The District Tourism Association is still making efforts to connect and provide maximum support for tourists to find overnight accommodation in the area.
