The Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups is located in the center of Thai Nguyen province. It is a large-scale architectural work with high artistic value and was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Architecture (first round, 2006).

Ms. To Thi Thu Trang, Director of the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups, reported on the Museum's activities.

Along with the Nui Coc Lake National Tourist Area, Ba Be Lake, the ATK Dinh Hoa Special National Monument, ATK Cho Don, the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures has been, is and will be an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Thai Nguyen; an address for experiencing, visiting, educating traditions, and learning about the culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups across the country for students inside and outside the province.
Working with the Board of Directors, officers and staff of the Museum, the Provincial Party Secretary listened to reports and exchanged opinions on the work of preserving and promoting cultural values associated with tourism development, as well as proposals for coordination between the Museum and Thai Nguyen province in the coming time.

At the working session, the provincial departments and branches also reported on the contents related to the proposal to build Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum.

Speaking at the meeting, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed the important role of the museum institution in the system of local and national cultural institutions. Along with economic development, Thai Nguyen province always devotes attention and resources to the work of preserving and promoting the unique culture of ethnic minorities, in which museums play a key role.
He proposed that the Provincial Party Committee direct the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments and branches to continue to closely coordinate with the Museum in connecting tours, tourist routes and organizing experiential programs for students, contributing to spreading the traditional cultural values of the nation.
Regarding the proposal to build the Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Party Committee to direct the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments, branches and sectors to continue to consult experts, carefully study the options, especially pay attention to the spatial architecture and exhibition content to create unique features. He hopes that with its experience and love in the field of cultural preservation, the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups will closely coordinate with the province in the process of completing the plan to build the Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum.
