Designer Thao Nguyen said that H'Hen Nie's outfit was prepared for many months with meticulous hand-sewing techniques. Regarding the "transformation" of the dress that went viral online, H'Hen Nie said she spent a lot of time practicing. The day before the show, she tried to open the dress many times but failed. After that, the design team stayed up until 5am to change the structure of the dress, using many techniques to help the dress create the desired blooming effect.

Before going on stage, H'Hen Nie practiced for nearly 4 hours. After finishing her makeup and getting ready, the beauty queen continued to try on the dress many times backstage, ensuring it went smoothly and anticipating any problems when going on stage.

Thao Nguyen said that normally designers would choose thin and light materials to create a soft effect. However, she "made it difficult for herself" by using very thick and heavy velvet. Therefore, the idea of ​​changing the shape of the dress took a long time to realize.
