The shape of the 150 billion VND C-shaped overpass about to open to traffic in Hanoi

An official from the Hanoi Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that up to now, the contractor has completed the structure of the C-shaped overpass, including many abutments and pillars. 9/9 steel girder structure spans have been erected; concrete has been poured on the bridge deck, and the embankments and railings are being installed.

According to the plan, the concrete deck of the entire bridge is expected to be completed in May. In June, the embankment, steel railings, traffic lighting, and drainage on the bridge will be completed; the asphalt concrete pavement will be completed. After that, the bridge will be tested for load, and the construction of the curb under the bridge, planting trees in the curb, and the asphalt concrete pavement will be completed. It is expected that on June 25, traffic organization will be completed and the project will be opened to traffic.

According to Thanh Nien , the shape of this bridge has been revealed. On both sides of the bridge, workers are gradually removing the corrugated iron fences and completing the final stages.

The C-shaped overpass was built from Pham Ngoc Thach Street to Chua Boc Street, with a total investment of 147.28 billion VND. The bridge has a reinforced concrete slab and a steel box girder structure, more than 320 m long.

The project is being implemented with the aim of improving traffic capacity at the Chua Boc - Pham Ngoc Thach - Ton That Tung - Dong Tac intersection (Dong Da District). This is a route that often experiences traffic congestion. The project has been under construction since October 2021, by a consortium of contractors including Thanh Long Group Joint Stock Company, Cienco1, and Viet Hung Technical Construction Joint Stock Company. However, due to many difficulties during the construction process, the project has been delayed 3 times.
