On January 6, the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) fired coach Shin Tae-yong just one day after the AFF Cup 2024 ended. Thus, Mr. Shin was compensated 10 times more than Mr. Kim's annual salary.
In Korea, coach Shin Tae-yong and coach Kim Sang-sik are both famous figures. Mr. Shin used to lead the Korean national team and coach Kim also led the famous football team Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Both were teammates on the national team many years ago.
However, coach Shin Tae-yong has not won many titles in Southeast Asia. When he had a good team, this strategist was fired without mercy.
