How to support more than 21,000 workers and businesses to relocate from Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park?

TPO - There are 76 enterprises with more than 21,000 workers operating in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park that will relocate. Of which, over 6,000 workers work in foreign-invested enterprises and over 15,000 workers work in domestic enterprises, the age of the workers is from 30 years old and above.

On September 10, information from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Nai province said that through a survey of workers working at enterprises in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park about the relocation of Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, about 900 workers said that they would not follow their enterprises to a new workplace when Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park relocates. Most of these are older workers with stable families living in Bien Hoa city.

Previously, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province approved the Project to relocate Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park to convert it into an urban - commercial - service area along the Dong Nai river.

According to the project, 76 enterprises with more than 21,000 workers currently operating in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park will be relocated. Of these, over 6,000 workers work in foreign-invested enterprises and over 15,000 workers work in domestic enterprises, with the age of the workers being 30 years old or older.

The project also identifies that workers will face difficulties in transportation and accommodation when the factory relocates. Businesses will face difficulties in recruiting and training new workers; businesses will also increase costs for housing and transportation support to retain workers.

To support workers and businesses when relocating Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, Dong Nai province has budgeted 1,270 billion VND to support workers' lives, train human resources and stabilize business production.
