This information was shared by Professor Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh at the ceremony celebrating the 25th anniversary of the National Center for Reproductive Support and the awarding of the international RTAC certification, held on the afternoon of October 14th in Hanoi .
According to Professor Ánh, in addition to the specialized work of a tertiary hospital in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, assisted reproductive technology is a key focus of the hospital.

"After 25 years of establishment, the National Center for Assisted Reproductive Technology is proud to have been awarded the RTAC certification. This certification is not a medal, but a magic wand, a pillar for all those working in assisted reproductive technology to follow," Professor Anh said.
The Director of the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital expressed gratitude to the generations who laid the foundation and guided the Center through its 25-year journey of growth.
From the first egg retrieval procedure in 2000 to the present day, the National Center for Assisted Reproductive Technology has continuously innovated, always pioneering in accessing, updating, and mastering modern assisted reproductive techniques, from basic to advanced levels.

In-vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques; intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI); and sperm, egg, and embryo storage are performed at the hospital with high success rates.
Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGT) increases IVF success rates to 50-60%.
"The success rate of assisted reproductive technology at the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is approximately 60%, comparable to regional and international standards. This is a very encouraging result, even though Vietnam's assisted reproductive technology sector lags far behind the world ," Professor Anh informed.
As part of the series of events celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Center for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital organized a specialized scientific seminar on "Improving Quality Management in Assisted Reproductive Technology," which took place in the afternoon of the same day, with the participation of many leading experts in the field of assisted reproductive technology.
Experts discussed global trends in IVF quality management, the application of digital transformation in management and treatment, and more.
During the ceremony, the National Center for Reproductive Support officially received the RTAC (Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee) certification, awarded by the Australian and New Zealand Association of Reproductive Medicine (ANZARD).

Achieving RTAC certification not only marks a significant milestone in our development journey but also opens up opportunities for collaboration, research, and deeper integration with the global IVF community – where Vietnam is increasingly asserting its stature and capabilities.
Professor Ánh expressed his ambition for the National Center for Reproductive Support to develop sustainably, with a strategy of improving professional quality; comprehensive digital transformation; and personalized medicine, aiming to become the leading Reproductive Support Center in the Asia-Pacific region.
In Vietnam, there are currently more than 70 assisted reproductive technology centers, of which 8-9 are recognized as meeting international standards. Among these centers, two public hospitals have achieved quality comparable to regional and international standards, including the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
According to the Director of the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Vietnam has adequate infrastructure, modern equipment, and a team of skilled experts in the field of assisted reproduction.
The National Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital plays a leading role in obstetrics and gynecology, responsible for supporting and improving the quality of other centers nationwide. Training, professional development, and maintaining the quality of its expert team are key factors in achieving positive results.
According to Professor Ánh, the application of rigorous quality management processes is a key factor in achieving good results in assisted reproductive technology.
He also expressed his hope that Vietnam's assisted reproductive technology sector – although lagging behind the world by nearly 15-20 years – will continue to develop in quality, contributing to improving people's health.
