The first Miss Tay Do Contest in 2023 is copyrighted by Can Tho City Radio and Television Station and will be held every two years. This year's contest is part of a series of events celebrating the 20th anniversary of Can Tho City becoming a centrally-governed city (January 1, 2004 - January 1, 2024), aiming to honor the true, good, and beautiful qualities of Vietnamese women; and at the same time, to find outstanding individuals to become the face of Can Tho City, fulfilling a meaningful mission and contributing to the development of Can Tho's culture and tourism .

The Miss Tay Do 2023 contest is an opportunity for unmarried Vietnamese women aged 18 to 25, residing, studying, or working in Can Tho City, the Mekong Delta provinces, and Ho Chi Minh City, to shine and assert themselves. Contestants can find the eligibility requirements at (https://canthotv.vn/nguoideptaydo) and submit their applications by November 27th.
Contestants with valid applications will participate in the preliminary round at the Can Tho City Radio and Television Station headquarters on November 28th to select the top 40 for the semi-finals.
The semi-final night (December 10th) took place at the 5-star Sheraton Can Tho Hotel. Contestants showcased traditional Vietnamese ao dai and ao ba ba costumes to select the top 25 for the final round.
The top 25 contestants advanced to the final round, which included various competitions and participation in social and charitable activities from December 12th to 16th.
Journalist Tang Quang Anh, Director of Can Tho City Radio and Television Station and Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Tay Do Beauty Contest, said that the top 25 contestants will compete in the final night (December 23) with rounds of traditional Vietnamese dress (áo dài), áo bà ba, and evening gowns to select the top 5 to participate in the Q&A round to compete for the highest title.
The winner of the Miss Tay Do Beauty Pageant 2023 received a prize worth 200 million VND. The first and second runners-up received prizes worth 100 million VND and 60 million VND respectively. The judging panel also selected outstanding contestants to award the titles of Miss Ao Ba Ba, Miss Tourism, Miss Philanthropy, Miss Talent, and Miss Popularity; each title prize was worth 30 million VND.
In particular, the winner of the Miss Tay Do Beauty Pageant 2023 was automatically advanced to the finals of Miss Vietnam 2024. The first and second runners-up were also automatically advanced to the national semi-finals of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024.
The final night of the Miss Tay Do 2023 contest took place at Song Hau Park (Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District), and was broadcast live on THTPCT channel and rebroadcast on HTV (Ho Chi Minh City Television), BTV2 (Binh Duong Broadcasting and Television Station) and many other television channels and social media platforms…
