Conversion fee refund and thousands of attractive gifts for BAC A BANK Contactless Chip cardholders

In accordance with Circular No. 1099/NHNN-TT of the State Bank of Vietnam on stopping magnetic strip transactions on bank cards, from June 1, 2025, Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( BAC A BANK ) will officially stop transactions on magnetic strip debit cards. Instead, BAC A BANK will only provide transaction services with Chip Contactless cards.

With the card integrated with BAC A BANK's VSSC contactless Chip technology, customers only need to place it near, touch or wave the card lightly on the POS/ mPOS device with the Contactless symbol to pay, instead of swiping the card as in the traditional way before. Possessing many outstanding advantages in processing speed, transaction time, and enhancing security, helping customers limit the risk of personal information theft, Chip technology debit cards become a fast, convenient, safe payment method, suitable for a variety of transactions in daily life.

From April 4, 2025 to May 31, 2025, to encourage customers to convert magnetic cards to Chip cards, Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank is excited to launch the program "Fast card conversion - Unlimited incentives", bringing thousands of attractive and practical gifts to cardholders.

Accordingly, when converting a magnetic card to a Chip card at a BAC A BANK transaction counter or on the BAC A BANK Mobile Banking application, customers will receive a refund of the card issuance fee (worth VND 22,000) into their payment account.

More attractively, the first 2,000 cardholders who successfully convert and activate their cards during the Program will receive 50,000 VND in their payment accounts. This is a practical incentive that contributes to encouraging international standard card experiences, ensuring transaction safety, saving costs and optimizing benefits for customers.

To own a modern Chip card, customers only need to register for card issuance right on the BAC A BANK Mobile Banking application, or bring their ID to the nearest BAC A BANK Branch/Transaction Office.
