Approximately 50km of additional access roads for three expressway projects—Nha Trang - Cam Lam, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay, and My Thuan - Can Tho— are expected to be completed in 2025.
In a report to the National Assembly on the progress of completing the system of access roads and local roads on expressways already in operation, the Ministry of Transport stated that in the past period, the Ministry has urged investors and contractors to construct the entire system of access roads and cross roads for 11 component projects of the North-South Expressway (Eastern section) giai đoạn 2017 - 2020 and the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway.

Currently, the projects have been largely completed, putting into operation the entire system of access roads and cross roads as initially agreed with the local authorities, best serving the transportation needs of the people.
According to the Ministry of Transport, to facilitate people's travel, localities have proposed adding more service roads for local residents to the investment scope, with a total length of over 73km.
Specifically, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway project adds approximately 14.5km; the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway adds over 12km; the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway adds approximately over 27km; the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway adds over 2km; the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway adds approximately 6.8km; and the My Thuan - Can Tho expressway adds nearly 10km.
Regarding the scope of the additional access roads, the Ministry of Transport has requested investors to coordinate with local authorities to implement land compensation and clearance work, carry out procedures according to regulations, and organize the selection of contractors for construction.
"According to the plan, in 2024, more than 23km of additional access roads will be completed under the following projects: Dien Chau - Bai Vot; Cam Lam - Vinh Hao and Nha Trang - Cam Lam."
The remaining 50km of the project, including Nha Trang - Cam Lam (13km); Phan Thiet - Dau Giay (over 27km); and My Thuan - Can Tho expressway (9.7km), will be implemented as soon as funding is secured, with completion expected in 2025," the Ministry of Transport informed.
