The Gold Medal of the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics belongs to Le Kien Thanh, a 12th grade student at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai province.

2 Silver Medals went to Dang Huy Hau (10th grade student, Thang Long High School for the Gifted, Lam Dong province) and Nguyen Bui Duc Dung (11th grade student, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences , University of Natural Sciences - VNU).

Ninh Quang Thang (grade 12 student, Ha Long High School for the Gifted, Quang Ninh province) won the Bronze Medal.

With 100% of contestants winning medals, the Vietnamese team is among the 8 countries and territories with the highest results in the medal tally, after China, South Korea, Romania, Singapore, Bulgaria, Hungary and Japan.

Thus, the Vietnamese IOI team maintained its achievements and continued to be in the top countries with the best overall achievements.

The achievements of the Vietnamese team at the 2025 International Olympiad in Informatics continue to affirm the position of Vietnamese education in the top intellectual arena, while affirming the right direction in the work of discovering, selecting and nurturing excellent students of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025) was held live from July 27 to August 3 in Bolivia, with the official participation of 330 contestants from 86 countries and territories.

According to the regulations of the IOI Council 2025, the exam has 2 official exam days. On each day, candidates will take a 5-hour computer programming test with 3 problems.

The 2025 IOI exam is assessed to be highly difficult, diverse in genres with 6 tests of 6 completely different types, requiring candidates to have comprehensive background knowledge, creativity and flexible thinking.
