Give money to parents to buy books and rebuild the house
Happy to receive a scholarship from Tuoi Tre newspaper, Nong Thien Truong (8C grade student at Pac Miau town secondary school, Bao Lam district) said that he will use this money to buy books and school supplies for himself and his two younger siblings who are in grades 6 and 5. If he has any money left, he will give it to his father to rebuild his house.
"The flood came at noon, my family only had time to run. We didn't have time to move our clothes, books, and belongings. The flood collapsed the house and swept everything away.
Since the house collapsed, the four of us have been staying temporarily in the kitchen about ten meters away. These past few days, my father has been rebuilding the house to live in," Truong said, adding that his mother went to work as a factory worker in Bac Giang . When she heard the news that the house collapsed, she only came back for three days and then left again, so my father stayed home to take care of us and raise us to study.
