Banking Academy ranked among top universities in Asia QS 2026

Banking Academy is among the top 25 Vietnamese universities in the 2026 Asian University Rankings by Quacquarell Symonds (QS).

On November 4, the prestigious education ranking organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced the 2026 Asian University Rankings. Banking Academy is among the top 25 ranked universities in Vietnam.

This achievement is a clear demonstration of the steadfast development strategy, taking training quality, scientific research and international cooperation as the foundation to promote the academic reputation and brand value of the Academy on the regional education map.

Being listed in the Asian regional rankings is an affirmation of its academic position, demonstrating the path that the Banking Academy has steadfastly built over many years: innovative education, deep integration and sustainable development.

In the context of Vietnamese higher education entering a period of quality competition and deep international integration, being included in the QS Asia rankings demonstrates the Banking Academy's strong commitment to the mission of training high-quality human resources for the industry, the economy and society.

Currently, the Banking Academy has achieved 100% of undergraduate training programs meeting the quality accreditation standards of the Ministry of Education and Training ahead of schedule, and has implemented international accreditation according to AUN-QA standards for many training programs. The programs are developed in an application-research orientation, linked to the new needs of the digital labor market, financial technology and innovation. International cooperation is also strongly promoted with the participation of many strategic partners around the world, bringing opportunities for international study, exchange and internship for students.

The achievements from the QS rankings are also linked to the long-term vision and development strategy of the Academy. According to the Strategy for the period 2022 to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the Academy sets the goal of becoming a prestigious university, providing multi-disciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary training that meets international accreditation standards by 2030; aiming towards an autonomous university model with a modern management system, mastering digital technology in teaching, research and community service; and moving towards becoming a smart university by 2045.

By 2030, the Academy strives to have at least five training programs meeting international accreditation standards, and by 2045 to meet regional and world educational accreditation standards.

Goal: 100% of programs are accredited to regional standards

To realize that goal, the Academy has implemented a quality assurance orientation for the period 2022 to 2025, focusing on preparing for accreditation according to international standards. By the end of 2025, the Academy aims to complete preparations for international accreditation of four training programs according to the standards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA).

In December 2023, the Academy submitted its application to join the AUN-QA network and was approved by the Board of Members to become an associate member on June 25, 2024. This is an important milestone, opening the "door" to help the Academy integrate more deeply into the regional education quality assurance network.

Along with that, the Academy focuses on building high-quality resources for accreditation. Many lecturers are sent to attend AUN-QA training courses to proactively grasp the international assessment process and standards. To date, nine lecturers have successfully completed AUN-QA's Tier 1 training course on self-assessment of training programs, creating a solid human resource foundation for the in-depth accreditation phase.

On that basis, the Academy is implementing a roadmap to accredit training programs according to AUN-QA standards, and plans to accredit four programs each year from 2026, aiming for 100% of training programs with graduates accredited according to AUN-QA standards.

These efforts demonstrate a consistent spirit, Banking Academy not only aims for rankings, but more importantly, commits to quality standards and sustainable values ​​of Vietnamese higher education in the integration era. The journey to raise international standards is not only the strategy of an educational institution, but also a promise to learners, to society and to the future of the national economy.

This organization evaluates/ranks schools based on the following criteria: Academic reputation, 40%; employer reputation, 10%; faculty/student ratio, 20%; citations/faculty, 20%; international faculty ratio, 5%; international student ratio, 5%.
