The trade promotion program of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs took place with the presence of Mr. Ta Duc Minh - Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan; Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Chairman of the Vietnam Association in Japan; Ms. Dinh Anh Minh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Business Association in Japan.
 On the Vietnamese side, there was Ms. Mai Thi Dieu Huyen, Vice President in charge of operations, Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council, VCCI - Head of the business delegation; 

In particular, the event had the participation of 20 Vietnamese female entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Mai Thi Dieu Huyen shared: Every year, we organize many trade promotion trips, support and promote the development of Vietnamese products to international markets. From 2024, we, together with Vietnam Airlines and Un Women, will cooperate with three parties to implement trade promotion programs with the message of gender equality on orange flights and pink flights HeForShe. These flights not only carry the message of gender equality, but also support female entrepreneurs to promote trade in world markets. For example, the orange flight in 2024 to Thailand, and the flight in 2025 to Japan.

“On the flights, we brought products from female entrepreneurs to give to passengers. Vietnamese female entrepreneurs also brought Vietnamese products to introduce to the market for promotion according to the flight program. The products selected to appear in these trade promotion trips are all traditional Vietnamese products, for example, on this flight, Hue sesame candy, Lam Dong Artichoke tea, Dong Thap rice, etc.

Thanking the valuable reception of the Embassy and the Vietnam Business Association for supporting the promotion program, Ms. Huyen hopes that this trip of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs will bring back beautiful results like the autumn weather in Tokyo.

Welcoming Vietnamese female entrepreneurs to Japan, Mr. Ta Duc Minh - Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Japan – shared with businessmen important information to increase business promotion effectiveness such as culture, business characteristics of Japanese people… He said that Japanese people pay great attention to reputation, product quality, and are extremely taboo about competing by lowering product prices. Some notes he gave as “tips” for Vietnamese businesses to gain sympathy from Japanese people such as paying attention to full information on product packaging, paying attention to creating an impression of trust, politeness, respect…
The Vietnamese Counselor in Japan also revealed to Vietnamese businessmen that Vietnamese products will have advantages in the Japanese market such as handicrafts, traditional handicrafts, garments, fruits, etc. These are products that have a very good opportunity to develop in the Japanese market.

At the promotion program, Ms. Dinh Anh Minh - Vice President of the Vietnam Business Association in Japan (VJBA) also sent information about VJBA to the members of the working group as well as VJBA's activities in the coming time. In particular, she shared very useful information about two upcoming events, which are great opportunities for Vietnamese brands that want to develop the Japanese market.
The trade promotion session was also very exciting with information sharing by Vietnamese businessmen to the Japanese market, and Japanese businessmen looking for Vietnamese partners.
During the program, the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council and the Vietnam Business Association in Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation.

Earlier in the morning of the same day, a trade promotion program for female entrepreneurs was held at the headquarters of Vietnam Airlines in Japan.
The program had the presence of Mr. Do Dong Hung - Head of Communications Department, Deputy Head of Women's Advancement Department - Vietnam Airlines - and also head of the working group of the pink flight HeForShe Vietnam - Japan; Mr. Ngo Sy Anh - Chief Representative of Vietnam Airlines branch in Japan.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Do Dong Hung said that Vietnam Airlines is making efforts to promote the brand and products of Vietnam in general, and of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs in particular, on its flights. In the coming time, Vietnam Airlines will try to continue this mission, especially focusing on promoting Vietnamese products on international flights, including flights to Japan.
In his speech, Mr. Hung also informed about the sustainable development policy of Vietnam Airlines, including gender equality and women's empowerment. Vietnam Airlines has been awarded the WEPs award for this field.

Talking to the representative of Vietnam Airlines, Ms. Mai Thi Dieu Huyen introduced some products produced by Vietnamese businesswomen, brought to Japan on this flight. She expressed her hope that in the near future, products of Vietnamese businesswomen will be regularly present on Vietnam Airlines flights on both domestic and international routes.
Expressing her admiration for Vietnam Airlines - a unit that has had many activities recognized for its efforts in the gender equality movement - she also hopes that the Vietnam Airlines leadership will apply the principle of gender-responsive purchasing to help increase economic power for women and promote the process of gender equality in Vietnam, to select products brought onto flights of Vietnam's national airline from businesses owned by women.

Sharing with Vietnamese female entrepreneurs, Mr. Ngo Sy Anh said that in the Japanese market, Vietnam Airlines has implemented many activities to promote Vietnamese products along with developing the Vietnam Airlines brand. In the coming time, it is hoped that there will be closer coordination between Vietnam Airlines and the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council, so that the products and brands of female entrepreneurs will appear more, be known, chosen, and loved by the Japanese people.
Vietnam Airlines' HeForShe pink flight is part of the global HeForShe movement launched by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), calling for the participation of men and communities in promoting gender equality.
The flight was led by Mr. Do Dong Hung - Head of Communications Department - Deputy Head of the Department for the Advancement of Women, Vietnam Airlines. The special flight is within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2024-2027 between Vietnam Airlines and UN Women, Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council, aiming to spread the message of gender equality and women's empowerment (GEWE) to passengers across the entire flight network.
