After the recent historic flood, many villages of Tuong Duong commune were isolated, houses, property and crops of people were severely damaged.
Faced with that situation, the Nghe Tinh Association in Poland and the Vietnamese community living and working here promptly launched a fundraising campaign to send back to their homeland.

Accordingly, the delegation awarded 67 support packages, each worth 5 million VND in cash, to 67 households that suffered heavy damage due to floods. This amount of money helped people buy essential items, repair their homes and stabilize their lives after the storms and floods. The total amount of support was 335 million VND, which was given directly to the people, helping them overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
Mr. Kha Van Lap - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tuong Duong commune, on behalf of the commune leaders, expressed his emotion and appreciation for the affection of the people far from home: "In the most difficult times, the affection and sharing of the Nghe Tinh community and the Vietnamese community in Poland is a great source of encouragement, adding confidence for the people in the flood-affected areas to stand up and stabilize their lives."
These gifts not only have material value but also act as a bridge of love, demonstrating the Vietnamese people's tradition of "helping each other", helping flood victims in Tuong Duong commune to be more steadfast in overcoming challenges.
