66th Provincial Party Standing Committee Conference

Attending were comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades members of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Steering Committee, project manager, project secretary - the unit in charge of implementing the project.

The selection criteria and rules for compiling characters in the ĐCNT were proposed by the Project Management Board - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the project's host agency, based on the principles of the National Geographic Department, with 57 selected characters. The ĐCNT Project Steering Committee issued an official dispatch to solicit opinions from agencies, departments and localities in the province; at the same time, organized a direct meeting, combined with an online meeting with the Project Management Board - the project's host unit. After the meeting, the project's host unit received, adjusted, supplemented and continued to perfect the selection criteria, compilation rules and list of characters in the ĐCNT compilation to submit to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for comments.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department - the Standing Committee of the Communist Youth Union project and delegates contributed many opinions on the selection criteria, compilation rules and list of Communist Youth Union characters such as: Agreeing with the list of ancient and medieval characters proposed by the project's Management Board. Regarding legendary characters, only select special characters, closely associated with the cultural and religious life of the people and recognized and worshiped by the people. Regarding modern characters, agreeing to only select those who have completed their entire life and career (if still alive, have completed their career after 20 years or more; if deceased, after 5 years or more) and must have truly outstanding contributions. Regarding the criteria for the highest leader of the province (Provincial Party Committee Secretary); In the case of expanding to the positions of Deputy Secretary, Chairman, Vice Chairman... only select people from the period of national liberation struggle before 1975, at the same time give priority to those who meet many criteria, must be truly exemplary, have great contributions to the cause of liberation struggle of Ninh Thuan province...

Concluding the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the preparation work of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department - the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for the topic of the Party Congress and the enthusiastic comments of the attending delegates. The Provincial Party Secretary basically agreed with the explanation, proposals and recommendations of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for the topic of the Party Congress; at the same time, he requested the Steering Committee for the topic to continue to solicit comments on the draft Selection criteria, compilation rules and the list of characters in the compilation of the Party Congress more widely, ensuring that the characters are selected clearly and without controversy. He also said that the time to complete a career after 20 years or more, if deceased, then after 5 years or more in the criteria of modern characters is appropriate. The Steering Committee for the topic needs to select truly outstanding characters, with great contributions, creating major turning points in each period; Direct the implementation of a detailed plan to implement the DCNT project early and quickly, including collecting opinions on the criteria for selecting characters and the list of DCNT characters, and calculating the time to implement the plan appropriately.
