Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Minh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district; representatives of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the District Party Committee; members of the Representative Board of the District Elderly Association; with the full participation of the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Elderly Association from 15 communes and towns in the district.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Elderly Association at all levels of Duc Trong district has promoted the Patriotic Emulation Movement "Old Age - Bright Example", making many practical contributions in all areas of social life.

With a total of 12,381 members, accounting for more than 80% of the total number of elderly people in the district (15,450 people), the Association has truly become a strong organization, a place to gather and promote the wisdom and experience of the elderly.

Notably, many members have held important positions in the local political system, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility and the trust of the Party and government in the elderly.

Not only that, the elderly in the district also actively participate in contributing ideas to build and strengthen the local government, and criticize draft laws, social policies, and especially policies related to the elderly. Their valuable voices and experiences have made an important contribution to building an increasingly democratic and progressive society...

Towards the period of 2025 - 2030, the Duc Trong District Elderly Association determines to continue to promote the work of building a strong organization, improving the quality and efficiency of operations. The Association will strengthen coordination with agencies, departments, branches and unions in organizing activities, promoting the socialization of elderly care, diversifying the content, methods and models of care.

Special attention is also paid to training and fostering of Association officials at all levels, along with innovating emulation and reward work in a practical and effective manner.

On this occasion, the District Elderly Association's Representative Board commended and awarded Certificates of Merit from the District People's Committee Chairman to 7 groups and 12 individuals; The District Elderly Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Emulation Movement of Senior Age - Bright Example for the period 2021 - 2025.
